Why use
security and monitoring systems - Stats Canada
shows the average crime rate in Canada for 2004 is 8,834.9
crimes per
100,000 people with some Provinces rating much higher. This
means that 1 in 11.3 people will have a crime committed against
them and the majority of these crimes are theft or violence.
Security cameras, monitoring, Card Access Systems and Alarms can
greatly reduce the number of these incidences against both
business and individual people as well as making it possible for
our police force to recognize and bring to justice many of these
offenders.

CCTV -
Closed Circuit TV is defined as "A
video system used in many commercial installations for specific
purposes such as security, medical and educational".
It differs
from broadcast television in that all components are directly
linked via cables or other direct means to a recording devise.
It is used in banks, casinos, shopping centers, streets,
airports, etc, and now even homes.
Closed
Circuit TV where the picture is viewed or recorded,
but not broadcast to the public, was initially
developed as a means of security for banks. Today it
has developed to the point where it is simple and
inexpensive enough to be used in home security
systems, and for everyday surveillance.

Card Access -
Card Access Systems are fast replacing key entry in commercial
applications and are now making headway into the residential
community as well. As security becomes more and more
critical to companies card access systems allow them to limit
who has access to what area's at what time as well as tracking
users coming and going. |

Alarms -
Burglar alarms have become standard
equipment in stores and other businesses, and they're becoming
increasingly common in private homes as well. |
